Holy cow. Ain't parenting fun? The above posts all show that it's so much trial and error! I never had this problem, but I have read somewhere that it's normal for toddlers to develop fears like this. If none of the above worked on my child, I guess I would try bathing them in the kitchen sink or sponge bathing until the phase passes.

My daughter is the same way right now! shes 19 months and for the last 3 months she will not sit in the tub. So I just switched her over to showers and got a chair for the tub so she can sit in the chair. she seems less scared. But just FYI girls under the age of 11 are more pron to bladder/uri infections and Bubbles are the main cause. Nothing is really safe to use as a bubble or foam bath from small girls. That could also be the reason. If she has one the bubbles or just water could make her little fee fee burn. that would scare me if i was 2!
